1985 Johnson 20hp 20croc losses power if over half throttle

I have 1985 Johnson 20hp 20croc is model number starts first pull idles perfect give it throttle and it's good at about half throttle any more than that and it just losses power back off throttle and it runs fine I have changed all fuel line rebuilt fuel pump cleaned carbs new gas tank and new fuel line from tank to outboard very frustrating any help would be appreciated

try the carb float probably stuck in one position or sticking and starving the gas

Ok I'm pretty novice on outboard repair what should I try on the float

go to boats.net scroll down to parts choose Johnson then pick 1885 then choose 20hpcroc then choose carburetor part 24 is the float. part 21 is the float valve. part 18 is the float chamber or known as the float bowl.

You may have to take the carbs off to do the following. take pics with your cell of how things go together so you can remember how to put things back.

take the float bowls off, remove the floats and get part 21 the valves working properly. that come out by just pulling on them with your fingers. they just may fall out don't loose it, small, if they don't they are stuck. should slide easily.

Sounds like it is running on one cylinder.-----------Check for spark on both leads.

I checked the float and it wasn't stuck it was moving freely any other suggestions would be appreciated
