1985 Evinrude 60hp strange rectifier voltage.

Hello to everyone, on mine E60ELCOD was broken rectifier, so i replace it and buyed 3 phase rectifier for motorbike, battery has about 12,5V i start motor, and voltage dont raise up, fluctuate between 12,5V to 12,7V. But when i disconnect red outgoing wire from rectifier i get about 14V so thats like it should be. Can anyone tell me what magic is going on, that when i connect battery i get 12,5V while engine is running, and if i only disconnect rectifier output wire i get 14V ?

Buy the correct parts.--------Disconnecting the rectifier while motor is running is bad , very bad approach to trouble shooting !

im live in europe, and in my country is not possibe to get this part. ordering from usa take month. anyway rectifier seems working correctly. it make correct voltage until i connect dc wire from rectifier to battery.

go to any maplins and they will sell you what you want.
best thing to do first is fully charge the battery to its correct voltage. then try again.

plenty of rectifiers available I Europe on e.bay.
