I have a 1985 Evinrude 120, has new power pack, stator , reg/rec, plugs and cards rebuilt. Last time i took the boat out, I sucked some mud into the water pump and it stop pissing for about 20 second. put it in high idle and cleaned it out. its pissing fine now. put the motor at idle has a miss to it. It idles fine and about ever 2 to 3 seconds it misses and puffs out alittle smoke from the exhaust. checked the compression and its fine 120.118.118.117.. I don't know what the issue could be now...Im taking the carbs back off just to check the jets because, their was some dirt in the bottom of the inline fuel filter. any ideas ?
