My dt40 oil light flashes then motor studders. My oil tank is full. Need help thanks

I am going to zip tie the plun

I am going to zip tie the plunger on the sensor all the way up and see if that works. Is that light connected to any thing else besides the oil level. Thanks 1985 dt40 book is kind of confusing.
