"Motor only runs on one cylind

"Motor only runs on one cylinder. No spark at all on top one. Spark plug is new,plug wire, and coil check out okay. Does this mean problem is in the switch box?"

magnet fell off flywheel
bad ground for coil

there is no test for the switchbox but it is most likely the problem if the wires check out

trigger test= disconect trigger leads
test trigger leads brn/yl to brn/wh=650-850ohms

coil test= disconnect wires
test leads to + and - =.02-.04ohms
test lead to coil tower and - =800-1100 ohms

stator test=
disconectleads
test blk/wh and grd= 120-180ohms
test blk/yl and grd=3200-3800
test blk/yl and blk/wh= 3100-3700

all ohms reading change with temp

"Missing spark on 1 of 2 is usually either switchbox or the coil - so if the coil and it's wires are good, probably the switchbox.

You troubleshoot the box by testing everything else and if all else it good, then it's the problem - check all the leads to and from it first - you don't want to chuck the cost for a new one only to find a corroded/broken wire upon installation..."
