1985 220 Crusaders shut down after 20 minutes

I think I have everything installed and wired per the diagram but I have one wire I’m not sure of, and a couple clarification questions. The diagram shows a purple wire from the coil to the “R” stud on the starter, but I don’t see an “R” stud on the starter. I see an “S” stud with a wire on the starter solenoid and an wmpty stud opposite of that. Is the empty stud on the solenoid where I should attach the purple wire from the positive stud on the coil? There is a red and a black wire coming out of the after-market electronic ignition which in the electronic ignition instructions it says the attach black to negative and red to positive on the coil, is that correct assuming I hooked up everything else according to the wiring diagram you sent me.

The starter solenoid usually has four terminals-two large ones (at top and bottom) and two small ones. The Large top terminal (post) is for the battery cable connections, the lower large post goes tot he starter motor. The small S terminal engages the starter, via the ky switch, using the Yellow/Red wire. the small terminal opposite the S is the R terminal, which goes to the coil. Some of the newer solenoids are no longer equiped with the internal jumper that povides the current to the terminal during cranking.

The ignitor module: the black wire goes to the "-" post on the coil and the red wire should go to the purple wire coming from the key switch to the ballast resistor. the other end of the ballast resistor goes to the "+" post on the coil.
