I have oil on the side of my engine under the intake exhaust manifold side
Does oil run through the manifold.
does it need a new gasket.
I tried to post a picture but this site won’t let me

stating which engine you have can only help....

As a rule, mercruiser has never run oil thru any manifold on a standard production engine...

you can't post pics until you have five posts so you may wanna try that again.

Ayuh,..... That's the water side of the block, the oil side has the distributor,.....
No oil in either manifold,....

My guess is yer seein' oil from the crankcase vent to the carb hose, or the valve cover is leakin',.....

That’s what I was thinking.
But the top of the motor is dry.
you would think if it’s coming from the vent the top of the engine would be covered in oil. It’s dry.
the dipstick still shows that it’s full. So maybe stop worrying about it? By the way thanks for the help.
