I have searched high and low for info on this older engine. Even the Chilton manual barley mentions the fact that there was a square motor on the tilt assembly. So here is my issue,
I left my engine in the down position. When I went to raise it months later, it would not go up. Now I know what you are thinking, just turn the release screw on the transom mount. Well this engine does not have one. The pump is mounted inside the boat. Apparently, there was a round motor and a square motor. I did find what I think is a release valve in-between the hydraulic lines. When I turn it, I still can not lift the engine. Anyone have any advice to get my engine up?
