1984 johnson 150 still missing/ primer problem

You guys are great .Next problem motor wont start when I push in key to engage primer I hear selenoid clicking but no start I have to flip the manual overide lever and she fires right up plus it leakes dont know if its fuel line ,o ring or gasket . I posted earlier about low compression missing motor . I was reading in manual how to check power pack it showed removing #7&11 wires from block and doing ohm check but my wires go right from power pack to magnito is there a way to check them without pulling flywheel . Carbs are coming off for cleaning fixing leaks and then im giving up if motor still misses may have to break down and take her to a shop. <BR>final question how low is to low of compression all cylinders are 70 to 75 and plugs are oiley sure would like to get a couple of fishing trips in before i have to rebuild thanks in advance guys

Not all gauges read the same , so no comment on compression #'s--------------There should be a plug-in connecter on the wiring from pack to stator and it won't help to pull the flywheel to check anything !!------Repair parts are available for the primer unit and it is easy to repair.---------Run it with a timing light ( one cylinder at a time ) too see if it is an ignition miss or something else.-------------Thermostats are installed I hope !
