hi joe had figured out what my motor was.Well next thing I did was a compression check. 124-126.the lower end was off the motor when I got the boat(the guy said because it wouldnt shift gears). I got the shift rod to move thru the gears.this boat had been neglected since 94 so i drained the oil and it was very thick and dark grey. I think this was from condensation and age anyway my question is can I put something in there that would clean out the sludge like wd 40 or something else to rinse it before putting in fresh lube?
