1984 50 hp mercury

my motor is only running on two cylinders, the two top ones and i was just curious if they were wired in series ? not sure if theat was the correct question or not but loosing two cylinders has me wondering. any comments would be appreciated as i am getting ready to replace both coils .

I suspect a bad trigger coil, but do the coil swap first.

New question? Does my 1984 50 hp motor have a fuel pump or does the carburetor pull in the gas from the tank. I suspect that the carbs pull in the fuel. any help will be appreciated.

Motors have to have a fuel pump of some sort.-----Your motor has a fuel pump on each carburetor.
