Just bought the boat yesterday. Changed lower gear oil. Magnet on drain plu clean.

Filled tank up with fresh gas.
Changed plugs with proper gap
Added 1 bottle of seafoam
Ran today for about an hr at cruising speed of 20mph. It the bogged down on its own. When I was able to get it restarted it would stall out when I put in gear. I was finally able to start and get her revved up in neutral. Lots of smoke. Seemed like a choke issue or something.

Once reved up and cleared her out she drove fine again...

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Golden rule is to install a new water pump impeller on a " new to you " motor.-----Or test overheat horn if there is one.----Post the actual compression test values here.----Inspect fuel pump.----And if motor sat with fuel in carburetors , you may have to clean them.----Oil injected or mixing gas / oil at 50:1 in the tank?

1 can of seafoam.
had great piss stream.
