"My motor hasn't been started in 3 years except the other day, and it's not "peeing". I assume it's either stopped up or water pump is bad. What's the next best thing to do, and if I have to, how do I get to the water pump? Thanks a lot! This site is great! Frank

"Drop the gearhouse 1/2",

"Drop the gearhouse 1/2", disconnect the shift rod coupler, drop gear housing down.
Change impeller on top of lower unit and NEW o-ring on top of driveshaft!!!
Most likely a thermostat change might be a good idea.
Take off rear latch on lover cover, and off with the cover on the head.
