1983 force 85 hp will not run (856X3L)

Engine will not start unless choked then will run only 2-3 seconds at both idle and W.O.T.

Ran fine until it started losing rpms. Replaced stator, flywheel, fuel pump and diafram. Timing tdc checks with flywheel mark. This engine Does not have a yellow/black wire going to any kill switch and I can't find any other "kill switch" on it. Fresh fuel 50/1, carbs cleaned and float drop is 1 inch. 3/4 inch spark on all plugs

Went out this morning with a wiring schmatic and found a barely scraped wire that was shorting out. Runs fine with the muffs and will try it at the pond this afternoon.
