1982 Evinrude 60 high idle

Hello all. Just got everything going after a long winter but now after she warms up it starts to idle really high and wondering if it's just a solenoid or something that's not working properly. Because when I apply pressure to it there's a lot of play between the doohickey solenoid and brings down the idle, to far and it dies. Any help for this noobie would be greatly appreciated. Tia

Just not sure what you are saying.----There is no solenoid involved with idle speed.-----Post pictures so we can understand what is going on.----Perhaps you need to adjust the throttle cable so the arm goes against the stop !!-=---Post model # of motor too.

Thanks for the quick response. I should of researched more on line before writing this, but I do believe I have to start with link and sync and see if that solves it. If it persists I'll take pics and post. Thanks again!
