1982 Evinrude 30hp no start - not getting fuel?

Hi ya'll!

Taking my boat out of hibernation and running into some hiccups. Fresh gas, clean plugs, good battery. Cranks over great and starts on starting fluid, but it won't stay running and doesn't seem to be getting fuel. When I prime the system, the fuel bulb gets hard and fuel flows when I press the check ball on the valve, but I pulled the drain plug out of the carb bowl and nothing came out. I'm guessing there's a blockage somewhere, but not sure where. Any suggestions on where to start looking? I was using the boat regularly and without issue right up until I put it away in September...never had a problem before this.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your help! Is that common? I work on motorcycles a lot and that rarely comes up as an issue, so just curious. Also, the carb looks like a pain to get off, so I was hoping I could avoid that.

The reality is that I am sure a carb clean is warranted and would help this issue (and others), so I should probably just bite the bullet and do that.
