1982 Evinrude 25HP remote to tiller conversion

Hey Guys I need some help. I have a 1982 evinrude 25HP remote steer (steering wheel) motor model # E25ECN that I'm wanting to convert to tiller steer. I found a tiller steering bracket off a '76 evinrude 25hp model # 25602E. The part number for the bracket is 317664. The bracket looks like the part I need but will this bracket fit my '82? Also While I'm doin that swap I'm wanting to hopp the motor up a bit. I've heard you could put a 35hp carb on a 25hp. Has anyone heard of doing this? And if so I found one off of a 1980 35hp will this work on my '82 25hp? Thanks in advance guys I'll greatly appreciate any help.

Go to BPRs site and do some comparison of part numbers of both motors,I believe the carb switch will get the 25 to 35 however its not just the carb interchange I think some parts from the intake manifold need to accompany the carb.http://shop2.evinrude.com/Index.aspx?s1=fmamsvmf0g0ub5brnt035uhlg5&catalog_id=0&siteid=1
