So I'm working on this 82 (I think) 9.8 so I need to ask some newbie questions. It runs and has some issues and I hoping some TLC in the right places with deal with them.
My experience with outboards is I know how to operate them and some mechanical.
I've been searching the forums and I think the reason I'm not finding anything is I may be using the wrong terminology.
So if you could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

I need to verify proper fuel and oil to start with.

The prop needs to be replaced. I'm assuming that when I remove the nut and spacer that it should slide off but it is stuck fast. Am I missing something or do I just need to spray some liquid wrench on it? 8P A1 is stamped on it.

The link rod for the reverse lock was unseated and when I seated it back it will not shift into reverse.

Are there lube points on the fly wheel assembly? If I remove the assembly will the recoil spring fly out?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
