"UPS just delivered my new trigger, I have a Clymer manual for this motor but do not see how this installs I took out 4 bolts that appeared to hold the housing down around the stator and trigger, after taking those out it looks as if it doesnt seperate there, am I missing something? Or do I try to get the old one out through that opening? Thanks Raymond"

"Raymond, sorry have to ask, y

"Raymond, sorry have to ask, you have removed your stator completely first (right). It has to come off before you can remove the trigger...."

Yes I have removed the stator

Yes I have removed the stator I have a new one of those also. the trigger has aburnt smell to it and the wires were deteriorated.

"Raymond, if the stator is out

"Raymond, if the stator is out, then you should simply have to disconnect the link arm of the trigger and it should come right out..."

"I didnt even need to take tho

"I didnt even need to take those 4 bolts out then, I thought maybe I just needed to wiggle it out but wasnt sure thanks"

"No, definately need to remove

"No, definately need to remove the 4 bolts, lift out the stator and then unhook/remove the trigger.

Make sure you have a bit of lock-tite (red) to put on the stator bolts when you put them back in - you definately don't want anything vibrating loose under the flywheel - makes quite a mess if it does
