1982 80HP Merc fuel connector

On my 82 80HP Merc the fuel li

On my 82 80HP Merc the fuel line goes to a plastic piece that you push in and turn just inside the cowling. Looks like it may be for a 5/16 line and I have a new 3/8 line and bulb. What I need to know is what you call that part so I will know what to order. and can I get it with the larger dia. fitting? I have to replace it anyway since it is broken . thanks for all your help
