I have a 25 hp pull start and

I have a 25 hp pull start and I have read the manual on how to leave the engine in a full tilt(out of the water) but I cant believe that I have to use a 9/16 wrench and tighten the tilt friction bolt.Am I missing something? Please advise me if anybody can assist me with this dilema
 
" You can purchase a tilt lock

" You can purchase a tilt lock assist bar, looks like a "U" shaped bar that inserts in the reverse lock rod holes.

Tightening that 9/16" nut is a one time thing. It applies the necessary friction to keep the engine tilted. However don't attampt to trailer it depending on that friction to keep it tilted.
