i was told that the 90hp and 115 hp are basically the same outboard, can anyone tell me what the difference is, the guy i bought my boat from swears it's a 115hp but the plate identifies it as a 90hp. i want to believe him as he is a good friend but i want to confirm that he wasn't sold a story when he bought it. also insurance is cheaper on the smaller outboard.
i am hitting 33 knots at wot pushing a 1/2 cab weighing 1500lb loaded up.
