1981 Mercury Classic 50 - No Spark

I have a 1981 Tracker bass boat, the wiring is not quite up to par, but my issue is no spark at the plugs or coils. I was wondering if anyone knew if a short out in the tach would cause this issue, and if so what wire is the tach on the motor, I cant trace it though the harness, and changes color once it comes out at engine side.
I have searched for a wiring diagram for this motor, but unable to find one. I have not had the best of luck with purchasing one as most dont show me what I need, and or its a different color wire then what year model Im working on. Any help would be great, I really need an overall wiring diagram for the engine and the under dash/ shift handle wiring... Thanks

The "kill" wire on the switch box is either orange, or black with a yellow tracer. Disconnect it and see if there's spark. If so, disconnect the tilt switch, hook up the kill wire again, and see if there's spark. If so, cut the wire to the tilt switch and tape it off--not necessary.

If no spark at all, you have one of the usual problems: bad stator, switch box, trigger coil. The last item can be checked with a meter, but since there's no spark on all 4 plugs it's not likely the trouble.

I will give that a go, will let you know what happens. ??? when you mention disconnect the tilt switch, are you saying disconnect it at the solinoids, and disconnect by taking power off the solinoids just wanted to make sure. Thanks
