I have a 1981 Mercury 40 HP on my 81 Bass Tracker. Narrowed it down to a bad trigger that is causing weak spark on the upper cylinder. Because I can't find a trigger, I'm now stuck debating what I should do. I can buy the same motor and use it for parts. The guy says it runs but needs a throttle cam actuator. I can also buy 2 1984 Mercury 60 HP and replace the motor altogether. These 2 motors both run. There is also a 2000 Johnson 25 HP that runs. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do with the motor I got, or any input on the motors I listed. If anyone has a favorite motor I should look for id be open to that to. Thanks guys.
