I purchased a set of CCX17910 control cables for my 1981 Mariner 60E. They are gen 1 cables and I am most certain my motor is also set up for gen 1 cables, if anyone can verify that would apprectiated.
My issue is that when I tried to install the cables, neither end would fit onto the throttle or shift linkage/pin-thingy. Im not sure if maybe the connection is more snug than i would think and I need to try again, or if there is a certain size fitting i should be looking for. TIA
