1981 Evinrude 35 hp .starts and runs great won't shut of.

It had a badly broken and Burnt wire harness. I replaced the wire harness and power pack. It starts quick and runs great. Will not shut down by turning off the key. It's on a 1981 RinkerBuilt Fiberglass fishing boat. Any idea's?

Check the wiring harness grounds to make sure they're all hooked up and installed.

Check the keyswitch as well. Make sure there is continuity between the M terminals when on the OFF position
