1981 90HP evinrude no starter or spark

"Half way through a recent tri

"Half way through a recent trip my ignition curcuit just died.

my engine is a 81 90HP Evinrude.

I had no cranking at the key.
I then bridged the solenoid to find no spark.
I then disconnected the black and yellow wires from each powerpack (kill Curcuit) to find still no spark.
I also pulled the main red plug to the engine and crossed the solenoid to crank the engine with still no spark.

No sure what it is but the engine ran fine for the first half of the trip, I then anchored. When I pulled up the anchor half an hour later nothing.

Not sure where to start.."
 
Ohm test both sensor and trigg

Ohm test both sensor and trigger. Note: no continuty to ground. Not likely that both power packs quits at the same time.

"Found the problem to be 1 blown solenoid, stuffed trigger and 2 blown power packs.

Every one I've spoken to has never seen 2 packs go at once.

who knows."
