1980 johnson singer 75

i have a 1980 johnson that i just bought that is bogging down and dieing if i push the throddle down to fast and when i get it up to speed after a few hundred feet it starts to bog down and die and suggestions on what that could be and a way to fix it i checked to fuel and the filter for it and there both good i just put new fuel in it

It is 30 some years old so do a compression test.---------Inspect fuel connecter o-rings---------------Inspect fuel pump ---------Clean carburetors as there may be a blockage.
 
The o-rings are inside the hose connecter.----------Compression test is done with a regular automotive compression tester.------They generally come with instructions.----Then again if you search on you-tube there are lots of little videos on how this is done.
 
ok well i checked the compression and its good.. now with the o rings you said there in a hose now is that the bulb hose that runs from the tank to the motor?? thanks for the adivce
