working on the lower unit for this motor. replacing the roller bearing for the forward gear ai want to replace the race at the back of the housing can this be done? Do I need a special tool thanks

Use a small propane torch and heat the nose.---------The race will fall out.-------------Put new race in freezer and heat the gearcase on the nose.-------New bearing will fall in.
