" I need to find a gear case housing for a 1980 35hp Evinrude. My friend cracked his and we are trying to find a good used one or a new for a good price.
Model#: E35RCSM
Serial#: E0002209

I checked with a dealer and they gave me a part# (390349), and told me that the part was obsolete. When I talked to someone else they said that this number was for another part.If anybody could tell me if this is the correct part# or help me find the correct part I would greatly appreciate it. "

I believe I have a housing for you. It came off a 1979 Evinrude 35
and I'm pretty sure they're the same casting. The gears went in this
one, but the housing itself is in good shape. E-mail me and I'll send you a jpeg photo if you're interested.
