1980 35 hp installing starter

I bought a 1980 35 hp johnson and no starter. I see a button on the motor so thinking of installing one and how hard would it be and what would I all need? Such as bracket, bolts, wires? or is it just to much work? Getting to old to be pulling or should I say lazy.

i bought my starter (for 25hp evinrude) from a local boat supply store. they had to order it for me but the kit contained everything needed to install it yourself. took me about 4 hrs to install, it was easy, but i'm a careful worker so it took me longer than it should have. cost was $367 plus tax- but that was 9 yrs ago...

That's a good price if no one else bids on it. I picked up a starter from ebay for my 25hp. I haven't gotten around to installing it yet, but it shouldn't be too difficult. The only thing I'm concerned about is adjusting the timing. When you change the bracket the timing adjustment screw will have to checked, and you have to check it at WOT.
