1980 2stroke Mercury stator wiring.

Does it matter which yellow wire from stator goes to which terminal on rectifier other than the positive terminal?

No, but the tach might care.

I know--it's AC--but twice now I had to use the other yellow wire to get the tach working. Damned if I know why!
