"My motor has line coming out
"My motor has line coming out behind the top and the bottom carb on the manifold. My question is are these required? I believe someone either added these or they were not run correctly after somebody has worked on this motor. They come off the manifold, not the carb, and run down and are "T'd" together and then ran into the fuel inlet line of the fuel pump. When I try to prime the fuel system, fuel runs up these lines and floods the carbs and fuel runs out the front of the carbs. I removed the "T" from the fuel inlet of the fuel pump and now the carbs prime up tight like they should. And now the moter seems to run better in my driveway. My local mechanic says to cap the lines off because they should not be on there. Is he right? will it hurt to cap these off?
