"I have a 1979 Evinrude 6hp. When I put the gas tank(old metal gas tank) higher than the engine the gravity feed the fuel to the engine. It start and run fine, but when I put the gas tank lower than the engine. it start and run for only 5 minute and stop. It like the engine use the fuel in the fuel line only, but not suck the fuel in the gas tank.when the engine stop the fuel primer is soft.
do you have any idea what the problem is ?
