"Hi guys, I have another quest

"Hi guys, I have another question. I clean out the sparks every other trip out, because they are dirty. Usually all 4 plugs are dirty, yesterday before I went out I checked the plugs and only the top 2 plugs were dirty. Does this mean something is trouble on the horizon? Could there be something wrong with the motor? Thanks any info would be really appreciate it."

"something is not right, don't run it. Compression and spark test on all cyl's if its not to late. If it is a carb problem 1/2 the engine is either getting to much ot no oil/gas. Plugs shouldn't need any maintenance all year or more."

I would think you might have a gummed up lower carb also if your compression is ok then you may want to look at the fact dark plugs don't mine that the plug is dirty. 2 stroke motors have oil in the gas. If the plug is dry and dark, I would think the plug is ok. I have plugs in a 95 evanrude that have never been changed they are all dark colored The motor as a whole is about 95% with 350 or so hours on it. I would make sure you have the right plug in the motor with the right gap if it's not gapless plug.

They are NGK and gapless. The carbs were rebuilt, after reading alot of post I think I could of installed the carbs wrong. I hope thats all it is. I wanna do a spark plug check and another compresstion test. The plugs were always dirty or dark colored before I rebuilt the carbs, but you saying that dirtyor darker plugs are good because of the oil in the gas."

"the fuel pumps are part of the carbs, make sure the gaskets are installed correctly at the base of the carb. If something is wrong with those o/h carbs it still won't get fuel. Need those compression numbers also"
