1979 35hp prop question

I currently have a 10 1/2 X 11 prop. If I go with a higher number like a 13 or 15, will I get more speed out of it? What should I be looking for to increase my speed?
Thanks,
Ken

You need a tachometer to determine if the engine is obtaining its specified top rpm setting at full throttle.

If the engine is running as it should, and the top rpm is too low, the present prop usually would have too much pitch. If the rpm is too high, you would want to increase the pitch.

You DO NOT want to use a prop simply to increase speed (guess work). If you run the engine beyond its top specified full throttle rpm, you stand an excellent chance of having connecting rods flying thru the side of the crankcase.

Thousands of parts in my remaining stock. Not able to list them all. Let me know what you need and I'll look it up for you. Visit my eBay store at:
