1978 mercury 800 no spark

I have a 78 model mercury 800 80hp thunderbolt ignition. At first I had no spark. Then it just started sparking. Had it starting for a few days. Then one morning had nothing. I have voltage from the stator to the switchbox. I have replaced the trigger. Disconnected the kill switch. Triple checked all ground connections. Disconnected stator wire to rectifier. Have a fresh battery and good cranking rpms. Still have nothing from the switchbox to the coil. Being since I went from no spark to sparking back to no spark is that a sign of a bad switchbox? Before I drop some cash on a switchbox and a stator I just want to check. Thanks in advance.

Yes Mercury switch is gone. But after I did some digging around on this forum I read a post were someone said to pull all plugs and then try. I did that and got fire on all 4. Put plugs back in and got it cranked. I believe my battery getting low and a hot starter were my issues. Now to adjust timing and carbs. Thanks for the reply.
