I have a 78 model mercury 800 80hp thunderbolt ignition. At first I had no spark. Then it just started sparking. Had it starting for a few days. Then one morning had nothing. I have voltage from the stator to the switchbox. I have replaced the trigger. Disconnected the kill switch. Triple checked all ground connections. Disconnected stator wire to rectifier. Have a fresh battery and good cranking rpms. Still have nothing from the switchbox to the coil. Being since I went from no spark to sparking back to no spark is that a sign of a bad switchbox? Before I drop some cash on a switchbox and a stator I just want to check. Thanks in advance.
