It has a good stream of pee. But overflow from hood pan and nothing out exhaust. Think its coming up the exhaust tube into hood pan. Not sure what it may be. 1978 Stinger 75hp. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is this engine new to you or have you owned it for some time?

You'll need to explain further to come up with that thought... that route would be a first since 1955.. and if possible should flood the interior of the powerhead.

However, if the water tube isn't in the water pump where it belongs... the pump could be shooting water straight up at the lower cylinder exhaust ports.... still don't see how that could get in the pan though.

Has the lower unit been off lately... water pump work? If the seal on top of the pump wasn't replaced, that would allow water to shoot up the driveshaft tube... now, that would get inside the hood pan.

Yes, the cooling water exit is via the prop with the exhaust and the exhaust relief holes.

Yes it is new to me. Yes it is overflowing from drive shaft up to the lower power head. Nothing from relief port. Maybe a tad from hub but only a drip. The warning horn does work. Is this bad and need immediate attention? If so what. It does have a solid stream of tale tell.

Water in the hood pan will find its way into the air intake of the carburetor.... yeah, if it were me, I'd fix that water problem before going fishing.
