"I am new to the boat motor repair world, i recently tried to pull the power head off a mercury 40 hp and found the power head was frozen to the drive shaft to the point like it had been welded. My question is do johnson motors have the same problem. thanks for any education you cane give"
 
Any motor that hasn't had

Any motor that hasn't had the splines greased regularly can experience that issue. It can be especially bad if the motor was used in salt water. Johnson/Evinrude use a high quality stainless steel shaft that doesn't corrode easily.
