May as well post this as may be of interest with replies.
I have had a broken top front engine mount so found one to replace it. Took off the swivel bracket and all good until the side top mounts were exposed.
Now, seeing as I rebuilt this maybe 11 years ago, used in fresh water river, I was not really expecting any other problems.
Wrong!
Side mounts were iffy and what do you do but undo the bolts and replace them eh?
OK, get your average 1/4" drive ratchet with socket then just "Touch" the last bolt. I mean, sneeze on the sucker and "Ping".............We have stainless thread in Aluminium.
I seem to remember when I rebuild things that threads/fasteners are always looked after for the future pulling apart of.
Some Fasteners just stuff up, themselves and, my repairs!
