My motor will start right up and run decent but will bogg down after running for a while at half to full throttle. The boat moves at about 31 mph full throttle. As long as we are moving at about 20 mph it runs ok. Seems as if it is getting steady fuel then it's not then it's steady then it's not. Going by how the engine sounds. Running at any speed.

It will run decent for a little while at full throttle but then all of a sudden it wants to bogg out. As long as we let off the throttle a bit it will stay running

Check fuel line for leaks.----------Start INSIDE the fuel tank pick-up tube and go right to the fuel pump at the motor.--------Plastic fuel tanks are known to have issues with pick-up tube.

Ok will check that. That's funny you say that because it is a new plastic tank from Wal-Mart. 6 gallon and it doesn't have a breather hole. I assume it's built into the cap. If I leave the cap on tight it will build up a lot of pressure and I will have to remove the cap. We havnt had an issue with the pressure running the boat ..only when it's parked and the heat gets to it...thank you!

We have replaced the fuel lines and there are no leaks that we are aware of. We did mess around with the fuel pump and took it apart. There was rust on the flaps inside the pump so we removed it carefully and it went back together ok

some of the newer plastic fuel tanks have a vent that dont work...part of the environmental thing i guess...i have one well known brand that i have to crack the gas cap for it to vent when running...

That stinks. Lol. We have run it both ways. I leave it slightly loose so it vents properly in the heat
