1978 evinrude 115 water leak.

I have a 1978 that I just finish a water pump rebuild, thermostat replacement and a partial power head rebuild. Fired it up with hose hooked up and have water that is coming out of my lower mount bracket area. Is this normal or do I have something else going on?

Look to be normal.-------What is a " partial power head rebuild " in this case.

Though I had blown the motor up so took the power head off and found that the 2 exhaust deflector were missing bolts and part of them were broken off ( which I found in the lower unit). I replaced the exhaust on deflector and all the seal on the water house, the seals on the heads and seals on the carburetor and also cleaned them. So you think water coming out the motor mounts in normal?
