got a 1978 110 9.8 i know the needle valve is sticking (but only when i need it to start the most) i want to replace the float when i replace the needle. how do i ajust the float? properly

If you can't find any specs. for the float try adjusting the float level w/the the bottom of the carb turned upside down...that usually works. end the float tang or tab and do not push oon the float to adjust it. There are numerous "how to" merc. carb rebuilds on youtube. Some show float adjustment.

thanks i could not find anything so i turned the carb upside down the float was far from level so i leveled it up ill let you know how it does. it might take care of the needle valve sticking might LOL

thanks found a rebuild kit on oldmercs for $75 plus $16 to ship. way over priced:( so i went to ebay with the part number and got the same kit for $25 with $2 shipping
