what would be the best fuel mi

what would be the best fuel mixture and gear oil i could use in my 6 hp 1978 wards seaking?... have ser. and mod.# if needed

ran good at 50:1 would still like to verify this to be the correct mix.still never got an awnser on what type of oil to run in the lower.also wondering about a peanut butter colered goo seeping from vents on lower (smells like burnt gas and oil)is this normal? any help would be great
