"How do you take the steering cable out of motor so I can take the engine off boat, it has some kind of cable in it and I am having problems taking it apart."

"Well if it is put thru the ti

"Well if it is put thru the tilt pivot , you have only to remove the cinch nut and slide the cable out as the motor is hanging on the lift. The drag link has to come off -of course.

So- you might be trying to do it backwar- you need to pull the engine,--then remove the steering."
