Hi all I'm new to boat owning as of today I brought it home and charged up the battery and put the motor in a 55 gal drum to start it up. It started but didn't seem to throttle up much I pulled the cover off and watched the throttle linkage it seemed to move as it should. I pushed on the end of the rod going up to the carb and she revved right up there was a stop on the rod but it was like a inch and a half from the plastic piece that goes on it should the stop be closer to that I loosened it and tried moving it and it was cracked and fell off so ill have to get a new stop but is that my problem or is it something else? Thanks

The guy I bought it from had it serviced top to bottom last year and I was in neutral ill have to put it in gear and try it I put a little to much water in the barrel so didn't want to do much in gear in the garage and thanks for the info I'm a motor guy but this is my first tangle with a boat motor :)

It bugged me so I went out and tried it again this time putting it in gear and she took off great got a little lake in the garage now but feel better about it as soon as the ice is off the lakes here I'm gonna do a few little trial voyages out to get to know the boat better. Can't wait :) ill keep you guys updated on how things go thanks for the help

I believe that's ur pivot block on ur throttle control rod...your gonna need that replaced before your throttle will work from the tiller handle...gotta have it!

Yea that's the stop I broke I'll have to fix that I see what you mean by it being at wot. I will have to replace the water pump indicator nipple where it sprays water out cause it was plugged up and it cracked when I tried to unplug it. But if these are my only problems I'm ok with that little tinkering is worth it

It's on a 14 foot mirrocraft, and it has electric start already I got the boat, motor, trailer, a eagle cuda 250i and trolling motor for $950
