"Guys, I know that when it comes to compressions consistancey is what your after through the readings. My 78' 200hp Evy is putting out either 110 or 115 psi (cant remember) per cylinder. Is this good? what is the minimum reading you should get before considering 're-ringing'?"

ideal pressure could be more like 120 or at best
130 for that.if and when yours drops below 100.
you might want to do some work ,or maybe sooner
if you are un happy with its performance, that is a vintage engine ,doing all the right things
(repairs, maintenence,etc..)can save yourself a lot of money."

Thanks for the input, much appreciated. So jwbmarine, you say they still run well at 85-90. In other words I can still get a fair bit more use out of her? I use it maybe a couple of times a month for a total of maybe 2hrs a time in fresh water...................... yea?"
