I looked through the parts lists and the lower unit from the 60's models did not become superseded by later models. It also appears that the drive shaft changed and a few other key components between the model you are looking at and the model you own.

Without comparing them side by side my initial answer would be NO, they are not compatible.

Compare the position of the water tube to yours.----Is the hole for the stud in front or in the back of where the tube goes ?
