1977 Nova Wellcraft 351 FORD stolen sterndrive

hey marineengine world.
I just bought a 1977 nova wellcraft with a 351 ford which had the alpha one sterndrive stolen off it. Looking for a replacement complete drive but i don't know what year or what i should be looking for specifically. Any help would be great. or if you might have one that your looking to get rid of, maybe clear out the garage or the shed? :D

Your best bang for tour buck would be a new SEI drive. Are you sure the drive was an Alpha One and not a #1 drive?

Ayuh,... If it was original, ya had a MC-1 drive in 1.32:1 gear ratio....

Yer Best bet for a replacement is the SEI drive Guy mentions...
You'll have to use the 1.50:1 ratio, as the 1.32:1 is obsolete...
 
alright, thanks guys. any help is helpful. it seems that my 351 ford might as well go to a gm and look into a whole new setup.
 
Just a whole lot more money to replace the whole power package vs replacing just the drive. If the hull is in great shape, it may make sense.
