So I just bought a Glasstron with a 1977 Johnson El77s 115HP. While doing routine used boat maintance, I found the water pump was FRIED. I have the new pump assembly but while I wait on the service manual, I would like to figure out what direction the fins of the impellar are supposed to be.
From what I have read in generic how-to articles I am supposed to........ put the gearcase in neutral, turn the driveshaft CLOCKWISE while sliding the impeller housing over the impeller? I just want to make sure i dont get the direction wrong. I hate replacing parts unnecessarily
